Influence of the magnetic field on high blood pressure (part3)
In the two preceding articles in the series, we analyzed the factors affecting hypertension.
This article will summarize the information and define important implications for prevention and treatment of high blood pressure and base for understanding the mechanism by which the magnetic field affects the appearance of this illness.
The arterial pressure is a hemodynamic parameter, which values depend generally from the heart and the resistance that meets the blood flow in the arterioles. Figuratively speaking, the heart works as a "pump" and arterioles are the "pipes" in which is moving fluid - blood. Consequently, the occurrence of high blood pressure depends on both: the work of the heart, and the resistance of the blood flow in the blood vessels.
The increase in cardiac output (pump) at constant resistance of the arterioles lead to an increase of the systolic pressure, i.e. to loading on the heart, and high blood pressure, with raised upper limit.
The increase of the resistance of the arterioles, caused by their shrinking (from vasopressors substances or permanent deposit) at unchanged cardiac output, determines the increase of diastolic pressure at which symptoms are high blood pressure with raised lower limit.
From everything said up to here we can make the following conclusions:
1. The blood pressure is maintained within normal limits by nervous and humoral regulation. In dysregulation, appears symptoms of high blood pressure.
2. Types and frequency of occurrence of high blood pressure: neurovegetative (primary) - 60% and secondary (symptomatic) high blood pressure - 40%.
3. When increasing the exercise the cardiac output increase and also the instant systolic pressure (the upper limit), which must be considered by those suffering from high blood pressure.
4. Under stress, the adrenaline stimulates the production of angiotensin, leading to a sharp contraction of arterioles, increasing the resistance and increasing of the blood pressure by diastolic pressure (the lower limit), which worsens the condition of patients with high blood pressure.
5. The hormones of the pituitary and adrenal glands, have vasoconstriction effect and cause an increase in blood pressure. The increased release of these hormones is the cause of high blood pressure.
6. The body produces substances - acetylcholine, histamine, kinins and prostaglandins, which have vasodilatory effect and influence to reduce arterial pressure and reduce high blood pressure.
7. Of items 4, 5 and 6 we can conclude that the body maintains a normal blood pressure by regulating the production of vasoconstrictor and vasodilator substances and hormones. In this regard, the prevention and treatment of high blood pressure comprises in restoring the balance and regulating the functions of the body, and the balance of the vasoconstrictive and vasodilatory substances therein.
After being introduced to the basic mechanisms that regulate the blood pressure and describe the reasons for the disruption of its normal values and the occurrence of high blood pressure, we are ready to analyze the influence of magnetic field on high blood pressure.
